Job summary

Mississippi Valley Surgery Center in Davenport, IA is seeking a full-time OR RN to join our surgical services team. This role provides comprehensive nursing care during the intraoperative phase, supporting the surgeon while maintaining patient safety.

The ideal candidate will hold an active Iowa RN license, possess strong assessment and communication skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced team environment. BLS is required at hire; ACLS and PALS within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and coordinate intraoperative nursing care.
• Serve as the patient’s advocate, verify surgical information, and participate in safety checks, positioning, and surgical counts.
• Maintain patient safety and infection prevention practices.
• Document care and collaborate with the surgical and recovery teams to ensure continuity of care.
