Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking an Intranet and Digital Workplace Administrator to serve as the primary architect and strategist for our firm's collaborative web ecosystem. The right candidate will lead the design, administration, and evolution of our web-based interfaces—including the intranet, client portals, dashboard sites, Azure Web App interfaces, SharePoint Online, and other collaborative web platforms—transforming disconnected tools into a unified, high-performance digital workplace. This role requires a blend of web interface design, platform administration, technical mastery, and project management, along with a passion for delivering intuitive user experiences and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.

Strategic Responsibilities

Web Architecture & Evolution: Lead the structural and interface design of the firm's digital workplace and collaborative web platforms—including intranet sites, client portals, dashboards, Azure Web App front ends, and SharePoint Online. Proactively identify and implement platform upgrades, redesigns, and modern web standards to keep environments performant, responsive, and scalable.

Interface Design & User Experience: Own the look, feel, and usability of firm web interfaces. Design and maintain consistent page layouts, navigation structures, branding, and responsive designs across all collaborative platforms to ensure a cohesive and intuitive user experience.

Portal & Dashboard Administration: Build, configure, and administer client portals and dashboard sites, ensuring secure, role-based access and clear presentation of information to internal and external audiences.

Knowledge Management Leadership: Design and enforce metadata strategies, search optimization, content organization, and document lifecycle policies across web platforms to ensure firm information is findable, well-structured, and secure.

Governance & Security: Own the security and access model for all internal, intranet, extranet, and client-facing web sites. Establish and document governance policies for site and portal creation, group management, permissions, and external sharing across all platforms.

Cloud Web Interface Management: Administer and support Azure Web App interfaces and other cloud-hosted web front ends, coordinating with development and infrastructure teams on deployment, configuration, integration, and interface maintenance.

Collaboration Enablement: Promote the adoption of M365 and other collaborative web tools. Act as a consultant to business units to help them digitize workflows and surface them through effective web interfaces, portals, and dashboards.

Empowerment & Training: Develop and lead a "Super User" program, training department-designated coordinators to maintain their own sites and pages while ensuring adherence to firm brand, design, and functional standards.

Site & Interface Engineering: Handle high-level technical tasks, including complex site and subsite creation, page and dashboard formatting, custom web part and component development, and the integration of third-party tools and cloud services into web platforms.

Required Skills & Experience

Expertise: 3-5 years of experience in digital workplace, web platform, and interface administration, with strong hands-on experience across SharePoint Online/M365, intranet or portal platforms, dashboard/reporting sites, and cloud-hosted web interfaces (e.g., Azure Web Apps).

Web Design & Technical Skills: Working knowledge of web interface design principles, responsive layout, navigation and information architecture, and front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, and page-building/customization tools). Familiarity with Azure web app configuration and cloud-hosted web platforms.

Autonomy: Proven track record of operating as a "department of one" or leading digital workplace and web platform initiatives with minimal supervision.

Communication: Elite interpersonal skills. You must be comfortable presenting to stakeholders and translating technical and design requirements into business solutions.

Analytical Mindset: Ability to audit existing web environments and interfaces and provide data-driven recommendations for cleanup, redesign, and optimization.

Enthusiasm: A visible passion for staying current with Microsoft's roadmap and broader web technology trends, and a drive to constantly improve the user experience across all collaborative platforms.
