SAVOYE NORTH AMERICA designs and integrates supply chain solutions. We seek an Automation Systems Modeling Engineer to join our team and advance intralogistics simulations across client projects.

The role focuses on creating physics-based CAD-to-model representations, developing digital twins, and collaborating with sales, design, and software teams. Travel up to 15% is required; candidates should be adept at data analysis and modeling for system validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, mechatronics, or software engineering; master’s considered.
• 10 years in material handling with conveyance, sortation, automated storage/ retrieval and robotics.
• CAD: AutoCAD, Navisworks, SolidWorks.
• Digital Twin: Emulate3D or Process Simulate.
• Visual Studio (C++, C#).
• R, Python, Excel for data analysis and SQL databases.
• Rockwell, Siemens, Beckhoff PLC programming a plus.
• Travel up to 15% for sales/design/engineering support.

Responsibilities

• Travel to SAVOYE NORTH AMERICA offices to support sales and engineering with simulations.
• Transform layouts into physics-based 3D models (CAD to Model).
• Configure and develop intralogistics models reflecting equipment operation.
• Produce documentation and reporting for simulations (performance, reliability, utilization).
• Collaborate with sales/engineering to modify systems based on results.
• Interface SAVOYE NORTH AMERICA’s software platform for accurate model execution.
• Support controls/software teams with emulation modeling and integration testing.
• Own modeling development and version control for all components and scripts.
• Support Advanced Technologies group in model-building for product lines.
• Complete weekly time entry and expense reports.
