Job summary

SAVOYE NORTH AMERICA is seeking an Automation Systems Modeling Engineer to advance intralogistics simulation and emulation. You will transform layouts into physics-based 3D models and build scalable digital twins for client projects.

You will travel up to 15% to support sales, design, and engineering efforts, collaborating with software and controls teams to ensure accurate model integration and testing prior to field deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering, or software engineering from an accredited university; master’s degree preferred.
• 10 years of experience in material handling, conveyance, sortation, automated storage and retrieval, and robotics.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Navisworks, SolidWorks).
• Proficiency with Digital Twin platforms (Emulate3D, Process Simulate).
• Experience with Visual Studio (C++, C#).
• Familiarity with Python, R, Excel for data analysis; SQL-based RDBMS.
• Familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens, Beckhoff PLC programming a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Travel to SAVOYE NORTH AMERICA offices to support sales and engineering teams.
• Transform layouts into physics-based 3D models (CAD to Model).
• Develop internal/intralogistics models reflecting equipment operation (shuttles, conveyors, robotics, AMRs).
• Produce documentation and reports for simulations (performance, reliability, utilization).
• Collaborate with sales/engineering to modify systems based on simulation results.
• Collaborate with software team to integrate models with SAVOYE NORTH AMERICA’s Advanced Software platform.
• Support controls/software teams with emulation modeling for full system integration testing.
• Own modeling development and version control of components, scripts, and data.
• Support Advanced Technologies group with product line models.
• Complete weekly time entry and expense reports.
