Job summary

UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, CO seeks a qualified professional to perform imaging, diagnostic, and interventional procedures to diagnose and treat cardiac and/or vascular conditions in accordance with scope, standards, and organizational policies, values, and mission; work independently of supervision.

This onsite role is PRN, days shift, with a pay range of $37.35 to $52.29 per hour, dependent on experience.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent in health science or radiologic technology.
  • ARRT (R) or Cardiac Technologist certification required (VI/CI/RCES/RCIS).
  • 6 months' experience with interventional procedures.
  • BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card valid through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

  • Independently performs interventional cardiac/vascular imaging procedures and acts as subject matter expert.
  • Assists physician with diagnostic/therapeutic interventional procedures; analyzes imaging results and addresses image quality issues.
  • Educates patients about procedures and equipment; monitors patient status and responds to changes.
  • Prepares equipment, troubleshoots malfunctions and ensures safety/quality control on imaging equipment.
  • Works with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $37.35 - $52.29 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary

Performs imaging, diagnostic, and interventional procedures to diagnose and treat cardiac and/or vascular conditions in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and within the policies, values, and mission of the organization; and independent of supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Independently performs responsibilities of underlying job(s) and acts as subject matter expert in providing board certified level of care. Prepares patients for procedures within scope of practice.
  • Assists physician with performing diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac and/or vascular interventional procedures. Performs, analyzes imaging procedures and results; takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
  • Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. Assists with monitoring patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED or graduate of a certificate, license or degree granting program, or post-secondary educational program in a health science or Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist ARRT (R) program or Cardiac Technologist program.
  • Certified in Vascular-interventional radiology (VI) or Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
  • 6 months' experience with interventional procedures.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
