Job summary

UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO seeks an experienced Interventional Radiology professional to perform imaging, diagnostic, and interventional procedures for cardiac/vascular care. Onsite, full-time with rotating days, including stroke call and four 10-hour shifts.

The role emphasizes independence, patient education, equipment readiness, and strict safety/QC practices within UCHealth policies and mission.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED or completion of a health-science certificate/degree program or radiologic technologist ARRT(R) / Cardiac Technologist program.
  • Certified in VI/CI/RCES/RCIS per requirements.
  • 6 months' interventional procedures experience.
  • BLS/CPR certification through AHA or Red Cross valid through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

  • Independently performs interventional imaging procedures and acts as subject matter expert at board-certified level.
  • Assists physicians in diagnostic/therapeutic cardiac and vascular interventional procedures; analyzes imaging and quality.
  • Educates patients about procedures and equipment; monitors and responds to status changes.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies; troubleshoots malfunctions and sets exposure factors.
  • Acts with critical thinking in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $37.35 - $52.29 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Full-time role working four rotating 10-hour shifts 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a requirement for stroke call

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary

Performs imaging, diagnostic, and interventional procedures to diagnose and treat cardiac and/or vascular conditions in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and within the policies, values, and mission of the organization; and independent of supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Independently performs responsibilities of underlying job(s) and acts as subject matter expert in providing board certified level of care. Prepares patients for procedures within scope of practice.
  • Assists physician with performing diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac and/or vascular interventional procedures. Performs, analyzes imaging procedures and results; takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
  • Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. Assists with monitoring patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED or graduate of a certificate, license or degree granting program, or post-secondary educational program in a health science or Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist ARRT (R) program or Cardiac Technologist program.
  • Certified in Vascular-interventional radiology (VI) or Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
  • 6 months' experience with interventional procedures.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
