Job summary

Jefferson Radiology, a Radiology Partners practice in Connecticut, seeks an Interventional Technologist to support interventional radiology procedures and assist IR physicians. You will ensure proper image capture, radiation safety, and fast PACS transmission in a high-volume outpatient setting.

Required are ARRT certification, MRT license, CPR/AED and BLS, plus 3+ years of IR experience and knowledge of RIS/PACS systems. Competitive compensation and total rewards are offered.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of AMA Council on Education program in radiologic technology.
• Certification: ARRT; MRT by State Medical Board; CPR and AED; BLS.
• Experience: Three or more years in routine and special procedures; experience with radiology information systems.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and special procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of interventional procedures and assist Interventional Radiologists during procedures.
• Performs all interventional procedures per the Department Procedure Manual; provide radiation protection per safety standards.
• Apply appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful IR procedures.
• Check that images are sent to PACS and that all images and notes are transmitted per policy.
