Job summary

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking an Interventional Tech to support the Cath Lab's diagnostic and interventional procedures under physician supervision.

Requirements include ARRT Radiography, BLS; VIR/RCIS/RCES preferred or to be obtained; ACLS within 90 days of hire. This is a full-time day shift with some on-call responsibilities and full Sentara benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography is required for this Radiologic role.
• CI/NIR certification preferred or must be obtained after hire.
• VIR certification or experience is preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred, RCIS/RCES may be required within entry timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex interventional procedures under physician direction.
• Provides patient and family education and adheres to policies.
• Operates and maintains interventional equipment safely.
• Ensures supply inventory for examinations and completes documentation.
• Participates in departmental performance improvement activities.

Education

Full Time Days-36 hours per week, 4 (9 hour shifts a week) with some call.

Job Responsibilities

Performs complex invasive interventional procedures such as diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or interventional procedures under the direction of a qualified physician while adhering to interventional and procedural policies and protocols: provides patient and family education; operates equipment safely; completes department documentation; maintains all equipment to be clean and operational; maintains adequate supply of inventory for performing examinations; participates in departmental performance improvement activities

Education & Certifications

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography required; CI/NIR (Neuro Interventional Radiography) certification preferred or must be obtained.
• Vascular Interventional Radiography (VIR) certification or experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• BLS and RCIS or RCES certification required. ACLS will be required within 90 days of hire.

Salary/Pay

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $40.10 - $60.59 hourly.
