Job summary

UPMC Williamsport is seeking an Interventional Technologist to perform specialized imaging procedures with independent judgment and patient safety at the forefront. You will work closely with physicians and care teams to support minimally invasive procedures and deliver accurate diagnostic information.

This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with rotating weekend and holiday call.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification or equivalent required.
• Maryland radiographer license or RCIS/RCES eligible.
• Graduate of ARRT-approved School of Radiologic Technology or invasive cardiovascular program.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional imaging procedures with proper positioning and radiographic principles.
• Administer contrast according to protocols under procedural direction.
• Prepare patients, monitor status, and ensure a safe, positive experience.
• Verify patient identity and follow universal protocol and time-out procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with aseptic procedures.
• Educate patients about procedures and address questions with clear communication.
• Document information in the EMR and ensure proper coding and charging.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technologists to deliver high-quality care.
