Job Summary
As an Interventional Technologist, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, producing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis and treatment. You will operate complex equipment while ensuring patient safety, interact with patients, explain procedures, position patients correctly, and monitor their well-being. You will maintain records, adhere to safety protocols, and collaborate with healthcare professionals for optimal care.
Sign-on bonus: $25,000
Pay range: $43.10 - $64.11 per hour
Responsibilities
- Set up of interventional procedure according to physician preference, standards of care and hospital protocol.
- Ensure exam order, workstation system, equipment and patient readiness when physician arrives.
- Maintain competency in angiography/intervention suites, myelography/spine multipurpose room and intra-operative angiography equipment.
- Maintain competency in ancillary equipment such as injector, CO2 contrast set-up, angio‑jet, penumbra and other thrombectomy devices.
- Accurately and proficiently perform complex exams such as neuro embolizations, cerebral vascular attacks, lithium/vasospasm infusions, TIPS, uterine fibroid embolizations, chemo embolizations, run‑offs, CO2 angiograms, gamma knife and 3‑D rendering.
- Assist the physician and associates before and during procedures as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an approved American College of Radiology Technologist Program and three (3) years of experience as an interventional technologist, upon hire.
- Medical Radiographer: AZ, upon hire.
- Basic Life Support – CPR, upon hire.
- Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT), upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or higher academic degree recognized by the ARRT and Vascular Interventional (VI) registry, upon hire.
