Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provides charge nurse responsibilities including assignments and throughput management.
• Manages a patient care assignment as indicated by patient care needs.
• Assists with hiring, education and performance evaluation of staff.
• Works with Nurse Manager and HR on performance counseling and discipline.
• Instructs staff and ensures compliance with standards through monitoring and performance management.
• Takes responsibility for productivity targets and budget compliance.
• Leads unit performance improvement activities and outcomes.
