Interventional Radiology Technologist | Wexford Hospital

Sign on Bonus Eligible: $10,000 (2 year commitment)

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This role involves performing various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable standards, policies, and the organization's mission and values.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist in setting up the interventional suite with appropriate instruments and supplies (15%)
2. Utilize proper aseptic techniques and follow policies for medication, contrast, and specimen handling (15%)
3. Assist with preparing, positioning, and draping patients, ensuring correct patient and surgical site (15%)
4. Understand, anticipate, and adapt to interventional provider preferences and patient care variables; contribute to updating provider preference materials (15%)
5. Complete all required documentation for procedures, including regulatory, billing, and image distribution (15%)
6. Maintain adequate supplies for efficient department operations; participate in inventory control and monitoring (15%)
7. Implement radiation protection and patient safety standards (10%)
8. Perform other duties as assigned or requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

• Associate's degree or technical certification; or 6 months to 1 year of related experience/training; or equivalent education and experience
• Radiography Certification and Registration (RT) - ARRT
• Vascular Interventional Radiography Certification (VI) - ARRT, within 24 months of hire; existing VI certification holders are required to maintain active certification
• CPR certification - American Heart Association
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Clearance

Preferred:

• Prior experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
