Job Description

Sign on Bonus Eligible: $10,000 (2-year commitment)

General Overview

This role involves performing various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope, standards of practice, policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up the interventional suite with appropriate instruments and supplies (15%)
• Utilize proper aseptic techniques and follow policies for medication, contrast, and specimen handling (15%)
• Assist with preparing, positioning, and draping patients, and participate in the interventional space to ensure correct patient and surgical site (15%)
• Understand, anticipate, and adapt to interventional provider preferences and patient care variables, and contribute to updating provider preference materials (15%)
• Complete all required documentation for procedures, including regulatory, billing, and image distribution (15%)
• Maintain adequate supplies for efficient department operations and participate in inventory control (15%)
• Implement radiation protection and patient safety standards (10%)
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications

Minimum

• Associate's degree or certification from a technical school, or 6 months to 1-year related experience/training, or equivalent
• Radiography Certification and Registration (ARRT)
• Vascular Interventional Radiography Certification and Registration (ARRT). Within 24 months of hire. Employees hired before September 1, 2024, without VI certification are not required to obtain it; those hired after must maintain active certifications.
• CPR – American Heart Association
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Clearance

Preferred

• Prior experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
