Job summary

Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center's Interventional Radiology department is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to support invasive angiographic procedures. The role includes surgical scrubbing, patient prep, and post-procedure care under physician supervision.

Weekend night shifts (Fri/Sat/Sun 7pm-7am) and a sign-on bonus eligibility are offered. The pay range is $35.50 to $53.25 per hour, and full-time benefits are provided in a 36-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Completion of an accredited Radiology Interventional Program required or an ARRT/RCIS graduate from a Cardiovascular Interventional Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized radiography and fluoroscopic coverage of interventional and angiographic procedures under the direction of a physician.
• Explains the procedure to the patient and preps the patient for the procedure.
• Obtains medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast materials as directed for administration by a licensed practitioner, authorized/certified technologist, or registered nurse.
• Circulates during the procedure and maintains responsibility for patient comfort.
• Provides supplies necessary for diagnostic and therapeutic invasive procedures.
• Removes catheters/sheaths and applies direct pressure or clamp as appropriate.
• Provides necessary report information to the holding area or nursing unit as needed.
• Records and processes hemodynamic reports, contrast media records and charges promptly and accurately.
• Communicates equipment malfunctions to leadership or department engineer for repairs.
