Job summary

OU Medical Center is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for the VIR Lab. The role includes assisting in minimally invasive, image-guided procedures and supporting patient care from pre-procedure to post-procedure care.

Qualifications include BLS, ARRT/RCES/RCIS certifications within 18 months, and relevant health-science training. The department emphasizes clinical excellence and teamwork in a dynamic IR setting.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (AHA) required upon hire.
• ARRT(RT)(VI), ARRT(RT)(CI), RCES or RCIS certification required within 18 months of hire.
• Experience levels vary by Tech I/II/III role; Tech I requires no experience, Tech II requires 3+ years, Tech III requires 5+ years.

Responsibilities

• Assist in image-guided minimally invasive procedures (angiography, biopsies, device implantation).
• Prepare patients and maintain sterile field during procedures.
• Transfer images/data to EHR systems and ensure documentation meets standards.
• Provide on-call coverage outside regular hours as assigned.
