Job summary

OU Medical Center in the United States seeks an Interventional Technologist in the Interventional Radiology Department. Position may be filled at levels 1–3 depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications. Opportunities include sign-on bonus, student loan repayment, and relocation assistance.

The role supports cardiac and radiologic services for adults and selected pediatric patients, under general supervision, with emphasis on patient safety and quality care in diverse care settings.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited radiography program. Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited program with emphasis in a cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty.
• Registration: ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI in the cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty required within 12 months of hire.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains competencies for Level I duties and delivers high-quality patient-centered care.
• Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with orders.
• Utilizes specialized imaging equipment for diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures.
• Transfers images/data to archival systems and prepares studies for physician reporting.
• Performs operator-level quality control, cleaning, and disinfecting per guidelines.
• Mentors less experienced staff and provides in-service training as needed.
