Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, AZ seeks an experienced IR Special Procedures Tech to support PTO coverage and call. This registry/per diem role handles varied shifts with on-call hours, contributing to high-quality imaging and patient care in a busy radiology department.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT national certification and state licensure if applicable.
• Advance certification in specialty within 18 months of hire.
• BLS certification.
• Typically 2 years of clinical radiology experience with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform prescribed radiographic procedures per department policy.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and prepare them for care.
• Produce high-quality images with accurate documentation for interpretation.
• Demonstrate competence in invasive/interventional procedures when applicable.
• Conduct equipment quality control and troubleshoot as needed.
• Maintain a safe environment and follow radiation safety policies.
• Uphold confidentiality and professional responsibilities in radiology.
