The role emphasizes patient care, precision, and teamwork in a fast-paced radiology environment. The position requires an associate degree in radiology or related field, ARRT certification, and at least 2 years of IR tech experience; BLS certification is required, with state license eligibility noted.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiology or related field.
• ARRT certification.
• Radiologic Technologist state license eligible.
• 2 years of Interventional Radiology Tech experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform interventional radiology procedures as assigned per policy and radiologic standards.
• Verify patient and procedure to be performed.
• Provide clear and accurate instructions to patients.
• Ensure correct imaging protocol, step, and scanner parameters for each patient.
• Maintain patient and staff safety for equipment used.
• Participate in ongoing education and training.
• Perform quality control on equipment and devices.
• Communicate with staff/departments to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain stock and order supplies when needed.
• Keep work areas clean per DPH and Joint Commission.
• May teach students and support new technologists.
