Job summary

Portsmouth Regional Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an Interventional Radiology Technologist to support physicians during minimally invasive procedures using fluoroscopic equipment. You will prepare, monitor, and maintain the procedure room while delivering courteous patient care and explaining procedures to patients.

Responsibilities include assisting radiologists with medications and contrast agents, maintaining sterile technique, and performing real-time scan reviews for accuracy.

Qualifications

• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date.
• Ability to perform interventional procedures.
• Two years of Radiology Technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment, monitor inventory, and maintain sterile procedure area.
• Provide patient care professionally and explain procedures to patients.
• Assist radiologist with medications and contrast agents IV.
• Maintain sterile technique during interventional procedures.
• Perform real-time review of scans for technical accuracy.
• Complete verification in PACS promptly.
