Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist at Atrium Health Pineville for a full-time role. You will assist in invasive angio/interventional procedures, perform surgical scrub and circulation duties, and deliver total patient care in the IR suite.

The position includes a sign-on bonus eligibility, a 40-hour week schedule, and holiday call rotation requirements. ARRT/RCIS certification and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Completion of an accredited Interventional Radiology program or RCIS pathway.
• Certification in CPR is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized radiography and fluoroscopic coverage of interventional and angiographic procedures under physician direction.
• Explains the procedure to the patient and prepares patient for the procedure.
• Obtains medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast materials as directed for administration by licensed personnel.
• Circulates during the procedure and maintains patient comfort.
• Provides supplies necessary for diagnostic and invasive procedures.
• Removes catheters/sheaths and applies direct pressure or clamp as appropriate.
• Provides necessary report information to the holding area or nursing unit as needed.
• Records and processes hemodynamic reports, contrast media records and charges promptly and accurately.
