Job summary

Holy Cross Health Florida in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to support real-time imaging during procedures and ensure high-quality imaging for patient care. You will operate radiographic equipment, acquire images, and coordinate with physicians and the PACS system.

The role requires Florida ARRT radiography credentials, AMA-accredited radiology education, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Radiology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Able to respond on-site within 30 minutes when participating in the on-call rotation.
• Florida Licensed Radiologic Technologist, ARRT Radiography credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of radiographic/digital imaging equipment and table positioning for safe patient care.
• Acquires images and sends images to PACS.
• Communicates clearly with team members both verbally and in writing.
• Transports patients to and from procedural area, admitting and recovery areas, and other hospital areas.
• Assists with patient transfer to and from procedure table and stretcher.
• Maintains ongoing communication with physician operator during procedures for patient safety, diagnosis and treatment.
• Willingness to learn new procedures and coordinate in-service education for others.
• Administers contrast media under physician direction; recognizes signs of a contrast reaction and acts accordingly.
• Reviews patient history, labs, prior imaging, and correlates protocol with patient status; communicates findings to physician operator and team.
