Job summary

Holy Cross Health Florida in Fort Lauderdale seeks an IR Tech to perform fluoroscopy and imaging with real-time visualization for procedures. You will operate radiographic equipment, ensure patient safety, and coordinate with the physician operator throughout procedures.

A strong focus on communication and learning new techniques is required. Candidate must complete an AMA approved Diagnostic Radiology program, hold BLS, Florida license, and ARRT credentials, and be available for on-site on-call

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Radiology program.
• BLS certification required.
• On-call within 30 minutes response.
• Florida licensed radiologic technologist / ARRT credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of radiographic and imaging equipment and table positioning for safe patient care.
• Acquires images and sends them to PACS.
• Communicates clearly with the team, both verbally and in writing.
• Transports patients to and from procedural areas as needed.
• Assists with patient transfer to and from procedure table and stretcher.
• Maintains communication with physician operator to ensure safety and accuracy.
• Learns new procedures and coordinates in-service education as needed.
• Administers contrast media under physician direction and responds to reactions.
• Reviews patient history, labs, and prior imaging to inform procedures; communicates findings.
