Job summary

Trinity Health FirstChoice seeks an Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech for a day shift at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale. The role requires expertise in fluoroscopy, contrast administration, and imaging with rapid patient transport within a hospital setting.

On-call availability is expected as part of the schedule. The position is part time with 40 hours per week, offering a competitive weekly rate and travel opportunities through FirstChoice travel programs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Radiology program.
• BLS certification required.
• Able to respond on-site within 30 minutes when participating in the on-call rotation.
• Florida Licensed Radiologic Technologist, ARRT credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of radiographic/digital imaging equipment and table positioning for safe patient care.
• Demonstrates ability to acquire images and send images to PACS.
• Communicates clearly with the physician operator and team in verbal and written form.
• Transports patients to/from procedural, admission, and recovery areas as needed.
• Assists with patient transfer to/from procedure table and stretcher.
• Maintains communication with the physician operator to ensure patient safety, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Willingness to learn new procedures and coordinate in-service education for others.
• Administers contrast media under physician direction and recognizes signs of contrast reactions.
• Reviews history, physicals, lab values, and prior imaging to correlate with procedure protocol.
