Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas West in Nashville seeks an Interventional Radiology Technologist to assist with procedures, perform diagnostic imaging, and support the Radiologist/PA in angio and vascular interventions. You will prepare patients, position them accurately, and manage contrast media and medications, following safety guidelines and state/federal regulations.

Your role requires BLS within 30 days of hire and appropriate licensure or ARRT/CCI credentials.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 1 month of hire.
• Credentialed by ARRT Radiography or CCI Cardiographic Tech prior to hire.
• Licensure/ Certification/ Registration needed as listed in job posting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedures and provide diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.
• Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately, along with preparing and administering contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines and monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
• Able to perform all specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures, along with assisting the Radiologist/PA.
