Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is seeking an experienced radiologic technologist to perform invasive diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures at our Virginia Beach facility. Responsibilities include patient education, safe operation of equipment, and thorough documentation.

The role requires completion of a Radiologic Technology Program with ARRT or RCIS registration and BLS certification, plus strong communication and physical stamina for lifting and assisting patients.

Qualifications

• Must have successfully completed a Radiologic Technology Program.
• Must be ARRT or RCIS registered and have BLS certification.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment, supplies, and patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform invasive diagnostic, therapeutic and/or interventional procedures.
• Provide patient and family education; operate equipment safely.
• Complete department documentation; maintain equipment to be clean and operational.
• Maintain adequate supply inventory for performing examinations.
• Participate in departmental Performance Improvement activities.
