Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, a 525-bed tertiary care facility, seeks an experienced Radiologic Technologist. The role covers invasive diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures with emphasis on patient education and safety.

ARRT/RCIS registration and BLS are required, along with strong communication skills. The hospital is a Level I Adult Trauma Center and home to advanced imaging services.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Radiologic Technology Program.
• ARRT or RCIS registration and BLS certification.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform invasive diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Operate equipment safely and conduct department documentation.
• Maintain adequate supply inventory for examinations.
• Participate in departmental Performance Improvement activities.

Overview

If you have experience in invasive diagnostic, therapeutic and/or interventional radiology procedures - this position is for you!
Perform invasive diagnostic, therapeutic, and /or interventional procedures; provide patient and family education; operate equipment safely; complete department documentation; maintain all equipment to be clean and operational; maintain adequate supply inventory for performing examinations; participate in departmental Performance Improvement activities.
Must have successfully completed a Radiologic Technology Program; must be ARRT or RCIS registered and have BLS certification. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment, supplies, and patients.
