Job summary

Saint Mary’s Health Network, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks an experienced Cardiac/IR technologist to join the cardiovascular lab on a per diem basis. Under physician direction, you’ll scrub procedures or monitor hemodynamic data, ensuring room readiness and instrument par levels, supporting invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

We require ARRT-R licensure, state licensing, and a fluoroscopy permit, plus BCLS and ACLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R licensure and state license required.
• VI (Vascular Interventional Technologist) preferred.
• Fluoroscopy permit as required by state.
• BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain.
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic data in the cardiovascular lab.
• Ensure procedure room is prepared for the procedure.
• Monitor instrument par levels and supplies.
• Participate in staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
• Assist in invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff. Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• ARRT-R and licensed as required by State;
• VI (Vascular Interventional Technologist preferred
• Licensure and Fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• Previous experience in a Interventional Radiology department preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.
