Job summary

Saint Mary’s Health Network in Reno, NV is seeking a Per Diem Cardiovascular Lab Technologist to assist by scrubbing and monitoring during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures. The role supports the lab team, ensures supplies are ready, and participates in performance improvement activities.

The ideal candidate has ARRT-R licensure and state-specific credentials, BCLS and ACLS, and prior interventional radiology experience.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R license or as required by state.
• Vascular Interventional Technologist preferred.
• Active licensure and fluoroscopy permits as required.
• Experience in interventional radiology preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) certification required on hire.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills for patient records.

Responsibilities

• Assist in invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures in the lab.
• Scrub procedures and monitor physiologic/hemodynamic data.
• Maintain instrument par levels and prep procedure rooms.

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff. Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• ARRT-R and licensed as required by State;
• VI (Vascular Interventional Technologist preferred
• Licensure and Fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• Previous experience in a Interventional Radiology department preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.
