Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
• NYS licensure required and ARRT Radiography Certification with CE credits upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room and patient for exam; arranges equipment, trays, supplies, positions patients and determines proper exposure factors to produce high-quality images.
• Verifies patient identity and exam details in electronic information systems; adheres to the dual patient identifier procedure.
• Transfers patients to imaging tables using assistive devices and maintains patient comfort and safety.
• Ensures accurate image labeling and sends images to the PACS system; completes and bills for studies accurately.
• Assists on special projects such as equipment evaluations or design of areas for clinical equipment installation.
