Job summary

The University of Rochester's Imaging Sciences-Angio department is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist specialized in interventional radiology to set up IR rooms, assist during procedures, and ensure high-quality imaging.

You will work with patients and families to provide compassionate care, perform equipment prep, maintain documentation, and participate in a structured career ladder from Band One to Band Three.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Maintains NYS licensure and ARRT certification with CE credits as required.
• Experience in interventional radiology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room and patient specific to the exam to be performed.
• Arranges equipment, trays, supplies, positions patients, and determines proper exposure factors.
• Observes patient status and interprets information to meet age-specific needs.
• Transfers patients to and from imaging tables using assistive devices.
• Completes and bills for studies accurately.
