Qualifications

• ARRT certification in radiology required.
• BLS certification by end of orientation.
• ACLS or PALS within specified time frames depending on unit.
• 1+ year experience as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic interventional exams using appropriate imaging equipment.
• Verify patient identity and review medical history for exam appropriateness.
• Explain procedures, risks and follow-up to patients.
• Set up equipment and acquire images per script; communicate results to radiologist.
• Respond to emergencies and provide post-care instructions as prescribed.
• Participate in process improvements within radiology practice.
