Job summary

Detroit Medical Center in Hamtramck, Michigan is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic interventional exams and imaging with state-of-the-art equipment. Eligible to earn a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 based on experience.

This full-time staff role offers day shifts and a collaborative radiology team at the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan. You will be part of a comprehensive imaging service, with opportunities for continuing education, patient care excellence,

Qualifications

• ARRT-registered in Radiology or VI/CV-Interventional radiography preferred.
• BLS-HCP certification required by orientation end.
• ACLS or PALS depending on setting within stated timeframe.
• 1+ year radiologic technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic interventional exams with appropriate imaging equipment.
• Verify patient identity and review medical history for exam appropriateness.
• Explain procedures, risks, benefits and follow-up to patients.
• Set up equipment and acquire images per physician script.
• Review images and communicate findings to radiologist.
• Provide post-care instructions and participate in quality/process improvements.
• Educate residents, students, and new staff in imaging procedures.
• Take call/standby as required; may perform radiologic technologist duties as needed.
