Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiology Interventional Technologist to join the Cardiac Cath Lab team in Georgia. This full-time role offers a 40-hour workweek with weekdays 7am–3pm and a call rotation, including holiday coverage. ARRT in Radiology or RCIS certification and BLS are required, with RCIS training preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or RCIS registry required.
• BLS required.
• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized radiography and fluoroscopic coverage of interventional and angiographic procedures under physician direction.
• Explains the procedure to the patient and preps the patient for the procedure.
• Obtains medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast materials for administration by licensed personnel.
• Circulates during the procedure and maintains patient comfort.
• Provides supplies for diagnostic and therapeutic invasive procedures.
• Removes catheters/sheaths and applies direct pressure or clamp as appropriate.
• Provides report information to holding area or nursing unit as needed.
• Records hemodynamic and contrast media reports and charges promptly.
