Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist - Special Procedures Technologist for the Cardiac/Cath Lab at Unity Hospital. The role supports interventional and imaging services with a focus on angiography and cardiac procedures, working a 40-hour week.

Qualifications include NYS license in Radiologic Technology or eligibility, ARRT certification within one year, and preferred radiologic technologist experience.

Qualifications

• 2 years college certificate or equivalent.
• NYS license in Radiologic Technology required OR must obtain licensure within six months of hire.
• ARRT certification required within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs as a radiologic technologist; prioritizes tasks and exams and ensures correct patient identification.
• Positions patients for standard views and provides explanations to patients.
• Works with X-ray equipment and accessories; assesses image quality and requests repeats if needed.
• Performs as a Special Procedures Technologist for angiography, cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, and related procedures.
• Maintains ALARA radiation safety standards and assists physicians in sterile procedures.
