The candidate should hold an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, NYS licensure eligibility, ARRT certification, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology or hospital certificate program.
• NYS license/permit in Radiologic Technology required or must obtain licensure within six months of hire.
• ARRT certification and BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs as radiologic technologist; prioritizes exams and provides patient explanations.
• Performs as Special Procedures Technologist for angiography, cardiac cath, IVC filters, stents, and angioplasty.
• Maintains ALARA radiation safety standards and assists in sterile procedures.
• Completes documentation and maintains procedural and equipment logs.
• Organizes supplies, room setup, and on-call responsibilities.
