Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist to join the Heart & Vascular Institute. You will assist physicians in invasive cardiology and radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation.

The role requires ARRT Radiography registration, an Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology (or related field), and ACLS within one year. A sign-on bonus is available for this position at Carle Health.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• Registered in Radiography (ARRT) is required.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiography (IEMA) where applicable.
• ACLS certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast material per physician’s request and monitors for reactions.
• Performs essential Radiologic Technologist duties under supervision of physicist/dosimetrist.
• Manages inventory and supplies; ensures correct patient identification and charting.
• Explains procedures to patients and maintains patient comfort, safety and confidentiality.
• Performs on-call duties and works variable shifts as needed.
• Supports cardiac catheterization lab procedures and sterile technique.
