Job summary

AdventHealth in La Grange, IL is seeking a PRN cardiovascular specialist to perform and support diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures, including coronary, EP, interventional radiology, and peripheral interventions.

The role requires strong knowledge of ECG, cardiovascular anatomy, vascular anatomy, and hemodynamic monitoring, plus clear communication with patients, families, and hospital staff. Prior healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree with licensure or certification as applicable.
• Bachelor's degree preferred for advancement.
• First aid/CPR certifications commonly required (BLS)
• ACLS certification commonly required for ACS/EP/IR roles

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures including coronary, EP, interventional radiology, and peripheral interventions.
• Responds to clinical emergencies within scope of practice.
• Administers and evaluates treatments and medications per policy and training.
• Verifies orders, facilitates implementation, communicates with physicians as needed.
• Maintains and operates equipment and supplies for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring setup and sterilization.

Job Description:

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures, including coronary, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and peripheral interventions.
• Responds appropriately in clinical emergencies and performs within the scope of practice for the position.
• Administers and evaluates effectiveness of treatments and medications according to policy and training.
• Verifies orders, facilitates implementation, and communicates with physicians as needed.
• Maintains and operates equipment and supplies for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring proper setup and sterilization.
