UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Illinois is hiring for a Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a fast-paced setting. The role requires RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and several certifications, with day shifts and on-site work.

Join a faith-based care team dedicated to extending healing, collaborating with physicians, technologists, and staff to deliver patient-centered cardiovascular care and ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation.
• Clinical knowledge of cardiovascular and vascular anatomy, with hemodynamic monitoring.
• Minimum 1+ year healthcare experience.
• RN with BLS/ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures.
• Responds to emergencies and assists physicians.
• Maintains and sterilizes equipment for cardiovascular procedures.
• Communicates with patients and families as needed.

Job Description:

Up to a $20,000 sign on bonus available for eligible candidates Schedule: 4-Day, 10 hour shift (7 am to 5:30 pm /on-call requirements)

Performs diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures, including coronary, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and peripheral interventions. Responds appropriately in clinical emergencies and performs within the scope of practice for the position. Administers and evaluates effectiveness of treatments and medications according to policy and training. Verifies orders, facilitates implementation, and communicates with physicians as needed. Maintains and operates equipment and supplies for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring proper setup and sterilization.

• 2+ years experience in cardiac cath/ ep /neurosciences/ critical care, or interventional radiology [Preferred]
