UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is seeking a PRN Cardiovascular Specialist to maintain and operate equipment for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring proper setup, sterilization, and accurate documentation. You will train staff, participate in quality initiatives, and respond to emergencies while coordinating with physicians.
The role requires RN licensure, BLS, and preferred ACLS; experience in interventional radiology, electrophysiology or related cardiovascular areas is valued.

Job Description:
PRN as needed Maintains and operates equipment and supplies for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring proper setup and sterilization. Produces accurate and timely medical records for each patient based on the scope and complexity of the intervention procedure and patient clinical conditions. Trains and supervises new personnel, providing orientation and ongoing education. Participates in quality and performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes. Ensures adherence to regulatory standards and enforces safety regulations. Maintains accurate and secure medical records, following prescribed processes for documentation. Demonstrates cross-functional abilities and leadership skills within the cardiovascular team. Takes scheduled emergency calls and responds in a timely manner. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures, including coronary, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and peripheral interventions. Verifies orders, facilitates implementation, and communicates with physicians as needed. Administers and evaluates effectiveness of treatments and medications according to policy and training. Other duties as assigned. Responds appropriately in clinical emergencies and performs within the scope of practice for the position.
