Job summary

Essentia Health–Fargo is seeking a Radiology Technologist to assist the radiologist with invasive procedures using advanced imaging equipment. You will administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic and research purposes and provide patient services across all ages.

The role emphasizes scrubbing in for catheter and guide wire manipulation and delivering optimal patient care with established techniques. ND licensure and ARRT certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) radiography program.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology at time of hire.
• Current license issued by the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDMIRTB)

Responsibilities

• Assist radiologist with invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiographic imaging equipment.
• Administer ionizing radiation to patients for diagnostic/research purposes and provide patient services.
• Scrub in to assist with catheter and guide wire manipulation and support patient care.
• Interact with patients across all ages (0 to death) in an effective and appropriate manner

In this role you will get to:

This position assists the radiologist with invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, which utilize advanced radiographic imaging equipment. Responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation to patients of all ages for diagnostic and/or research purposes, providing patient services, and performing radiographic procedures, including all aspects of fluoroscopic and digital imaging data acquisition and processing. Scrubs in to assist with catheter and guide wire manipulation and assists with providing optimal patient care utilizing established and accepted techniques. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to interact with patients in a way that is effective and appropriate to the age of the involved patient population (ages 0 to death).
