Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our IR team. You'll perform imaging for minimally invasive vascular procedures and work alongside highly specialized physicians in a fast-paced procedural environment.

Candidates should be graduates of an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT registered, SC licensure, and BLS; ACLS preferred. Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and commitment to patient safety are essential.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT registration and SC licensure required; BLS for Healthcare Providers.
  • Experience in Interventional Radiology preferred; strong attention to detail and patient safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality imaging to assist physicians during minimally invasive vascular and interventional procedures.
  • Operate advanced imaging equipment while ensuring image quality.
  • Apply specialized positioning techniques to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
  • Assist physicians during invasive procedures while maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Monitor patient condition and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Ensure radiation safety and protection practices for patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver outstanding outcomes.

What We're Looking For
Education
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
Licensure & Certifications
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association Licensure required
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (or AHA‑recognized equivalent)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Experience
  • Previous Interventional Radiology experience preferred
  • Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to patient safety
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
