IU Health is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to support interventional procedures and operate as a scrub tech when required. You will follow safety protocols, manage sterile setups, and document in the EMR, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.

The role requires ARRT RT(R) certification, active ISDH license, and BLS. 0–3 years of experience preferred; weekend option schedule may apply.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of relevant experience in radiology or interventional radiology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA).
• Active status as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT, RT(R)).
• Indiana ISDH license as Radiologic Technologist required.
• Experience in radiology procedures preferred.

Description du poste

Special weekend option schedule - 3 12s Saturday, Sunday, Monday. One weekday of call every other week required.

Assists radiologist/interventionalist in interventional procedures including acting as scrub tech where appropriate. Adheres to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Follows radiation safety protocols and is aware of patient dose alert levels and escalation procedure. Understands and has knowledge of complex procedures. Demonstrates ability to determine appropriate supplies for procedure and sets up sterile field. Possesses advanced knowledge of cross sectional and vascular anatomy. Communicates and work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team (critical care, ED, Trauma, IP, OP, Nursing, Oncology, Transplant, GI, Neurosurgery, etc). Documents necessary information in EMR.

Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience. Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required. Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning. Requires knowledge of sterile technique and supplies used during interventional exams. Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). May be required to obtain advanced credential in interventional radiography, if applicable. Requires current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist. Experience as a radiologic technologist, preferred.
