Job summary

IU Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the Ortho clinic. The role requires preparing patients, positioning for exams, and collaborating with radiologists to ensure accurate imaging. You will adhere to radiation safety protocols and document findings in the EMR.

The ideal candidate has ARRT RT(R) certification or board eligibility, ISDH licensure, and BLS. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with some holidays and a sign-on bonus for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography (RT(R)) with ARRT or board eligible.

Job description

Located in the Ortho clinic. Schedule is M-F 730a-330p, no call, some holidays required.

• Sign-on bonus available for eligible applicants!

• Operates imaging equipment such as x-ray, fluoro, portable x-ray, and fluoroscopy equipment used in surgery.
• Prepares patients by explaining exam and positioning them correctly.
• Collaborates with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure accurate imaging.
• Follows radiation safety protocols.
• Documents detailed patient history.
• Stays current with continuing education.
• Monitors patients during exam for safety.
• Documents necessary information in EMR.
• Assists with minimally invasive procedures as needed.

• Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
• Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
• Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible).
• If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire.
• Requires current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or a current ISDH Radiology Student Permit.
