Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist in Fort Worth, TX. In this role, you'll assist in operating fluoroscopy and CT equipment and provide exemplary patient care during vascular procedures.

Job description

Interventional Radiology Technologist

Work location: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave., Ft. Worth, TX 76104.

Work hours: Monday‑Friday 7:30‑1800 with rotating days off, providing a 4‑day weekend every 5 weeks. On‑call is required and self‑scheduled; must be within 30 minutes of the hospital. On‑call includes 2 primary and 2 backup weeks per 13‑week cycle.

Sign‑on bonus available for eligible new hires.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in operating fluoroscopy, CT, laser, and ultrasonography equipment during vascular and neuro‑angiographic procedures.
  • Provide radiation safety practices, sterile technique, and post‑processing of images.
  • Teach patients and provide care within scope of practice for all ages, newborn to geriatric.
  • Prepare and manage sterile supply trays; pass guidewires, catheters, and instruments during procedures.
  • Perform inventory management and schedule coordination.
  • Self‑direct and manage a varied workload; remain flexible for rotating shift schedule and self‑assigned primary/backup call dates.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate Degree in Applied Science or accredited radiologic/cardiovascular technology program required; high school diploma with two years of invasive cardiology experience also acceptable.
  • Experience: One year of vascular or cardiac angiography preferred.
  • Certifications: ARRT upon hire required; BLS required. Other certifications preferred or required (GMRT, RCIS, LMRT, RCES, ACLS within 90 days). Minimum two years’ experience with high school diploma required.
