Job Summary:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist performs interventional radiology examinations on patients according to department procedures and under supervision. The role requires significant judgment in executing duties.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
Frequent use of fingers and hands, standing or walking up to 7 hours daily, sitting up to 1 hour, pushing, pulling, lifting patients up to 300 pounds with assistance, lifting objects up to 40 pounds, frequent bending and reaching, normal hearing and vision.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited ARRT program and ARRT registered.
Training and Experience:
Minimum 1-year experience in interventional radiology preferred; required to obtain advanced IR registry within 1 year; CPR certification within 6 months; computer usage experience required.
