Job summary

HCA Florida Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) for a PRN position. You will operate imaging equipment and assist in angiography, cardiac catheterization, and IR lab procedures including scrubbing and circulating.

The role emphasizes patient care, procedural preparation, and documentation. A Florida license and ARRT/RCIS credentials are required or waived with IR experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Associate degree from a 2-year accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
• Current ARRT credential; RCIS credential also considered with IR experience.
• Minimum of two years licensed Radiology experience including at least one year IR experience.
• 18 months experience in special procedures.
• Angio, Peripheral and Neuro experience is a plus.
• BLS required on hire; ACLS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate accountability and perform procedures with compassionate care.
• Safely position patients and equipment per procedures.
• Perform radiographic procedures in a timely manner.
• Assist in administration of contrast media.
• Obtain high quality radiographs and review image quality.
• Document patient history, allergies and informed consent per policy.
• Maintain communication with patients and radiologists.
• Rotate call as assigned.
