Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a Special Procedures Technologist for Interventional Radiology. This full-time role supports radiologists and physicians during invasive and non-invasive procedures, operating angiographic imaging equipment, and providing sterile procedure support.

Shifts are 8-hour, with evenings, and may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays; on-call and overtime may be necessary. The ideal candidate has radiology experience, CRT/ARRT credentials, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• 2 years in Diagnostic radiology.
• AMA approved school of Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.
• CRT (Radiography and Fluoroscopy) certification.
• ARRT certification.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures, both general and within designated specialties
• Prepare room and equipment for patient
• Assist the radiologist, cardiologist, and/or clinician during radiologic procedures, including invasive and non-invasive studies
• Prepare reagents following standard formulas and procedures
• Observe patient for any unusual reactions or events before, during and after procedure, and take appropriate action following established guidelines
• Evaluate exam for technical quality and completeness and submit for review via PACS system
• Prepare the patient, explain the procedure, and ensure patient's cooperation during examination

As a Special Procedures Technologist, you will assist radiologists and physicians in performing invasive and interventional radiologic procedures. You will operate advanced angiographic and interventional imaging equipment and provide sterile procedure support to ensure high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care.

Shift flexibility

Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. On‑call responsibilities and mandatory overtime may also be necessary.

Responsibilities
