Job summary

Atrium Health Cabarrus is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to support invasive angio and interventional procedures in the IR suite. You will perform surgical scrub and circulation duties, and provide total patient care during and after procedures.

Responsibilities include radiography and fluoroscopic coverage, patient preps, medication/contrast handling, and prompt documentation of reports and charges.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Completion of an accredited Interventional Radiology program or ARRT/RCIS Cardiovascular Interventional Training.
• Current ARRT or RCIS certification and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized radiography and fluoroscopic coverage of interventional and angiographic procedures under physician direction.
• Explain procedures to patients and prep them for procedures; manage patient comfort during procedures.
• Procure medications or contrast materials as directed for licensed practitioners; maintain accurate records of hemodynamic and contrast media.
