Mayo Clinic is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic and interventional imaging with fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and 3D rotational angiography across vascular subspecialties. The role supports radiologists and surgeons in the OR and clinics, ensuring patient safety and sterile technique.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification and state licensure within 18 months.
• One to two years of technologist experience in IR preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication.
• Must be a Registered Technologist through ARRT.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality diagnostic imaging for Vascular and Neuro Interventional Radiology in line with Mayo Clinic standards.
• Operates fluoroscopy, ultrasound machines, and hemodynamic monitors.
• Acts as intraoperative first assist to radiologists and surgeons.
• Prepares interventional rooms, maintains sterile technique, and preps patients and devices.
• Obtains patient data, performs image post-processing and quality control, and ensures ALARA safety.
• Works independently with minimal supervision and supports complex procedures.
• Responds to on‑call duties and locations with a 30‑minute response window.
