Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ARRT radiologic technologist or radiology interventional program required.
• BLS certification required by policy.
• RTR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized radiography and fluoroscopic coverage under physician direction.
• Explains procedures to patients and preps them for procedures.
• Obtains medications or contrast materials as directed for administration.
• Circulates during procedures and maintains patient comfort.
• Prepares supplies for diagnostic and therapeutic invasive procedures.
• Removes catheters/sheaths and applies pressure as needed.
• Reports hemodynamic/contrast data promptly to charge/holding area.
• Enters patient data into WITT program and sends films for review.
• Communicates equipment malfunctions to leadership or engineers.
